Your Blog Should Be Yellow

You're a cheerful, upbeat blogger who tends to make everyone laugh.

You are a great storyteller, and the first to post the latest funny link.

You're also friendly and welcoming to everyone who comments on your blog.

I found a lot of this to be shockingly close.
Oh wow.

Haven't blogged in a while.

I think I'm gonna skip on the Rock Band Live Tour.
Maybe I'll update about it later.
Who knows.

It's Almost Halloween

My favorite band released this yesterday and it has been stuck in my head the whole time.
It's a pretty sweet tune.

I am not one of their friends, as far as I know, but I'm "still wondering what [i'm] gonna be."

So I think I've narrowed it down to two choices.

I either want to be:

A. Audrey Kitching

or

B. Alice

I'm actually leaning more towards Audrey.

In tears.

I saw this commercial and started laughing hysterically.
When your that age you have no shame. You do what you want, when you want to.
There are some people who really need to go back to that time. Yeah, a little discretion is a good thing but always being afraid to be yourself isn't.
If you like wearing flashy clothes and bright colors, then I think you should do it.
If some people don't like you for it, I'm sure there are some that will.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I'm Bringing Sassy Back (And you can't stop me!)

October Ninth was a fun night, any way you slice it.
I didn't get my picture with Vicky-T.
I didn't even get to meet Gabe or Nate.

AND I STILL HAD A BLAST.

It started off slow.
I had to wait until my mom was willing to let me walk to the venue.
Which seemed like hours,
upon hours,
upon hours,
upon hours,
upon hours,
upon hours,
upon hours,
upon hours...

When in truth, it was probably about two to three hours of waiting.

So, this time, I really wanted to get to the venue early so that I could meet the band as they were getting of the bus.
(What band, you ask? Why, COBRA STARSHIP, of course!)

I was alone for about an hour and a half walking around, I definitely saw someone's tour bus getting unloaded. Now that I think back, it was probably Forever the Sickest Kids' bus.

I have definitely honed in on my band senses, though.
A group of five people started walking around from the back.
BAND SENSES TINGLING! BAND SENSES TINGLING!
I didn't even need to look in their back pockets,
but as soon as I did,
there were the backstage passes to verfify.

No one was bothering them because they were the opening, opening, opening act.

But I knew.

I watched in awe as they entered the front doors,
I think one of them noticed and gave a smug smile.

So, after that, I started circling the venue.
It's a small one, so it wasn't hard to do AT ALL.

I felt a little weird, kind of stalkerish,
so I called up my friend who would be there in an hour
and started talking to her.

I was walking around for the second time
when I see a haircut
a haircut I recognized.
There was a distance, forgive me.
That's how I recognized her.

So, I had figured everyone was in the venue already,
and hadn't expected that at all,
so I did what any normal person would do.
I think.
I weakly said "Vicky-T?!"

She said "Hi."

"Hi."

That was pretty much the extent of our conversation.
I opened my mouth to ask if I could get a picture with her
but she said, "I'll be out later, but I gotta go."

Later, two of my other friends showed up.
This was about ten minutes after meeting Vicky-T.
They missed out! Haha.

So we hung around by the back door for about an hour
after heading to the Sanrio(yes, Sanrio) store across the street.
I hadn't eaten pretty much all day, so I picked up a box of Pocky.
As we were watching people get ready for the show and eating my Pocky, I had a brilliant idea.
Offer anyone who goes in or comes out of backstage some Pocky!

And the strangest thing was most people didn't know what Pocky was.

There were some dude roadies who accepted the Pocky.
Most just kind of steered clear of it.
There were a couple of girl groupies/roadies(I actually think that they were, in fact, roadies) who's eyes bugged out because apparently they love Pocky.

And then, some dudes from a band.
(I only knew that the band was Sing It Loud, because it was written all over all their gear and amps.)
I offered them Pocky.
The shorter one said, "No thanks."
The taller one said, "Sure, I'll try it."
He started to walk away as he tried it.
But started walking back.
"Hey this is really good! Can I have another one."

Of course, I'm the nice person, and said "Sure!"

By the way, in case anyone was wondering, I later found out this was Pat Brown of Sing It Loud.

We waited by the backstage some more and saw a dude with F.U.N.K.Y. hair.
It was cool, funky, though.

I turned to my friend and asked her if that was anyone in the show.
(Did I not mention my band senses?)
Yep, it was Caleb from Forever the Sickest Kids just strolling around.
I kept trying to convince my friend to say something,
and she kept trying to convince me to say something,
and I would have said something to,
had I heard what she was saying his name was correctly.

I thought she was saying "Kel."

He walked away, oh dear.

We went back to our post by the backstage, and mid text I hear my friend scream/whisper "RYLAND" in my ear.
I wait until I finish my text and look up.
"Oh," is all I can say when I see that standing right there, is indeed, Ryland.
We got our pictures,
we made cracks about how short I am/tall he is.
And he went on his merry way.

My friends were getting really antsy and wanted to line up before the lines got to long,
I just wanted to chill backstage some more.
But we lined up.
Eventually, the friend that I had been talking on the phone with when Vicky-T walked by met up with us.
Caleb continued to walk around everywhere.

Me and my friend who I had been with for about an hour decided to follow him and ask for a picture.
We were about two blocks away from the original line-up place(we had people saving our spots in line) when he finally turned around and asked who called his name.

I dunno if anyone did, but that's when we finally got our pictures with him.

We were gonna start walking back, but Ryland passes us again.
(I'm guessing he was on his way back to the venue, too.)
Someone asked him for a high five, and I love high fives,
so I asked for one, too.

We walked back to our spot in line, and wait.
We then see a crowd of people.
I checked it out, but I didn't recognize the person.
Apparently, it was Jonathan from Forever the Sickest Kids.
Again, we got our picture. (We're good at that! Haha.)

The concert was amazing.
I just couldn't handle the crowd.
So I left it, and hung around by myself during most of the Hit the Lights set.
Eventually, Sing it Loud came out to hang with everyone.
My friend finally met me, who was all by my lonesome,
and we danced with Nate Flynn(Sing it Loud) during the Forever the Sickest Kids set.
That was funnnn.

Kyle from Forever the Sickest Kids walked by me, right before they're set.
(So I'm a little out of order...)
And then Vicky-T walked out of the backstage door right after that.

I knew every Cobra Starship song,
except the first one.
Tonight, I am the drug you can't deny. Tonight, G-A-B-E gonna get you high.
I didn't know it, but I got the hang of it and began to sign along.
The Church of Hot Addiction. I'm such a bad fan.

I listened to the lyrics at first and though how irresponsible Gabe was.
I thought of the lyrics later and realized how right he was.

I think after this concert,
besides the Panic at the Disco concert,
I was the most pumped I've ever been.

I wasn't nervous,
Just pumped.

After the concert had ended,
we waited by the backstage door
until my friends' dad had to pick us up.
We waited just long enough so that we could meet Alex Suarez.

We asked for pictures.
I complemented his fangs necklace. (Purple vampire fangs)
He said a fan made it. (Whoever that fan was, was brilliant.)

When my friend was getting her picture taken,
Alex said, "Let's make this like a prom photo and turn it to the side!"
It was pretty funny if you ask me.

Ryland walked out of backstage with his hood up,
trying to be all incognito.
My friend noticed it and pointed it out.
He was beyond view by the time I shouted, "You're so sexy!"
Apparently, he turned around and wondered where that came from.
A girl sitting across the way had a better view of him and started cracking up.
Wow, I really was high off of Gabe's amazingness!
I would never say that, normally.

I didn't meet Gabe or Nate(Novarro).
I didn't get a picture with Vicky-T.
I still had a great time.
October Ninth was a great night.

What Happens In Vegas.

"Ends up on TMZ!" -Katy Perry

So I was watching the movie "What Happens In Vegas" (with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz) on Friday, October 3rd.
Here's the thing, there's this one scene where someone calls the character Cameron Diaz plays and the phone flashes "Saturday, October 4th".

I just thought it was super creepy.

singer girl friday

Today, I was hanging around with all the kids who were waiting for the bus to pick them up [I walk home].  I was talking to one of my friends.  This friend and I both love William Beckett's voice.  So I whipped out my phone and asked "Wanna hear William Beckett's voice?" [I bought 'His Girl Friday' as a ringtone, but use it as my alarm clock].  She answers with "Yeah!  sure."  For background reference, my friend has been trying to make me sign up for the music program for a while.  As I was playing the little clip I started singing along.  My friend says, "You know, I like your voice better than his."

This is either a ploy to make me drop one of my classes and sign up for music (which isn't going to happen) or that was a HELL of a compliment.  William Beckett has an amazing voice, and my friend is practically a professional singer (well, not really.  but close enough.)

We shall see, I suppose.  :]

I'm Reed Fish

I just got finished watching the movie "I'm Reed Fish."  The videography was just beautiful.  Normally, I'm not a movie person, but this was just gorgeous.  Check it out some time.

street teamer. *does dance*

I won't miss this concert for anything. I cannot wait!
I think everyone should go.
This will be my first time seeing all the bands except one.
Who I saw on May 9th.
Who are the reason I'm going to this concert.

Oh, and did I mention that I cannot wait?

subliminal messages

Look familiar?
If not, look around.

I found this shirt in Forever 21, yesterday, and had to have it.
I'll be advertising my blog without anyone (unless I've told you) knowing.

How pathetic am I?

thinking on crowds and motion city soundtrack

I was just thinking back to the Honda Civic Tour. It was my first concert without a parent and the crowd was drifting back and forth.  Violently.  It was pretty hectic. We (me and my friend) figured that when you guys walked on stage it would be worst of all. We didn't know how to handle the thrashing of large crowds. We were bracing for impact. I remember you saw the audience and told us to 'fucking stop.' the crowd stopped for a little and then started again. You were in the middle of a song and stopped it anyway. Just to tell us to stop. The crowd finally did stop. Thank you.

I know how to handle these crowds a little better now.
(Thanks to the Honda Civic Tour)
I know how to go with the flow.
(Thanks to the Final Riot Tour)
I know how to push people away.
(Thanks to the Devo concert)

All at the same venue, too.

Thank you for helping us out anyway. It made the concert much more bearable.

"I guess you could say that we really are Behind the Sea."
